Kreinik Braids

Kreinik Braids are round in shape to offer textured, dimensional effects in hand or machine embroidery. They can be used alone. They are available in more than 140 colors in Very Fine (#4), Fine (#8), Tapestry (#12), Medium (#16), and Heavy (#32) sizes. The braids become thicker as the number increases; i.e., Very Fine (#4) Braid is the thinnest braid and Heavy (#32) Braid is the thickest. Choose the appropriate size for whichever ground material or technique you're using.

Kreinik braids are available in Kreinik's basic colours, Hi Lustre colours, Vintage colours, Glow-in-the-Dark colours, blended colours and gemstone colours.

Kreinik Colour Number Code

• Kreinik basic, blended and gemstone colours do not have any identifying letter on the colour number, eg, colour 002.


• Hi Lustre colours have a HL behind the colour number, eg, colour 002HL.


• Vintage colours have a V behind the colour number, eg, colour 002V.


• Glow-in-the-Dark colours are numbers between 051 to 057 inclusive and are followed by the letter F.
