DMC stranded cotton comes in 492 colours, including 20 variegated colours. Each skein contains 8 metres (8.9 yards) of 6 easily separable strands. Each thread can be used separately or as many as necessary to make the effect needed. Each thread is made from the finest 100% long fibre cotton, mercerised for a high lustre, silky finish.

Wash and Care Instructions:
Care must be taken to take into account the fabric onto which the embroidery thread has been stitched. Use a mild soap at all times. After washing, wrap the embroidery in a towel to remove excess water, then dry flat. Place the embroidery on a clean cloth while still damp and iron on the reverse side, at the temperature setting recommended for the fabric.
On cotton and linen:
- Washable at 95°C
- Use chlorine diluted and in cold water only
- Maximum iron temperature : 150°C
- Dry cleanable
- Can tumble dry
On synthetic fabrics:
- Hand wash only
- Use chlorine diluted and in cold water only
- Dry cleanable
- Iron on low heat only
- Tumble dry low.

Needle Size:
Varies depending on fabric and technique. Check your diagram or pattern for the correct needle size.

Hints:
The skein is designed to be used with a DMC stitchbow. DMC's specially designed file and storage box allows for easy storage and sorting.
Add DMC stranded rayon thread (Article 1008) or DMC stranded metallic thread (Article 317) to your embroidery cotton to add light and to give a special effect to your work.
