The Embroidery Den is owned and operated by Marguerite Woodford. She first fell in love with embroidery when she was taught some basics at primary school using some sacking as backing. Her first love is cross-stitch, but she has been known to do some excellent work in a wide variety of other embroidery.
Marguerite loves to help other embroiderers with their supplies and their skills so that they too can create their own works of art, hence the shop. Since she's had the shop, she has seen some wonderful pieces of embroidery.
We do have 3 wonderful teachers, Lexie Cooper, Mary Jefferson and Rosemary Tonkin. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and the first Saturday of each month. Marguerite also does some limited teaching, but with the demands on her time, there is not much opportunity.
If you are interested in a course, contact Marguerite at The Embroidery Den and if there is enough demand, she will organise a specialist class with an expert instructor.
