Kreinik Colour Numbering Explained

Basic, blended and gemstone colours do not have any identifying letter on the colour number, eg, colour 002
Hi Lustre colours have a HL behind the colour number, eg, colour 002HL
Vintage colours have a V behind the colour number, eg, colour 002V
Glow-in-the-Dark colours are numbers between 051 to 057 inclusive and are followed by the letter F.
Cord colours end in the letter C.
Japan Threads are identified by ending in the letter J.
Select your Kreinik thread from the list above or to the left, or go to THREADS.

Some alternatives for metallic and metallised threads are Kreinik, Gütermann, DMC, Anchor, Madeira and Rajmahal. Different manufactures have quite different ranges of metallic threads. Compare and contrast at your leisure.

Some alternatives for pure silk threads are Gumnut, Madeira, Au Ver a Soie, Gütermann, Yli and Caron. For composite silk threads Cifonda and Rajmajal Art Silk.
